Target Criteria - Security Services
Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions have a current requirement in this sector. We have set out the
acquisition criteria below.
Provider of Security Services
Our client is a privately owned well established company offering a range of security services to a
blue chip customer base. Its aim is to accelerate growth by the acquisition of suitable companies in
the security sector.
- Activities and Markets Served
The ideal business would be providing services in one or more of the following sectors:
- Manned guarding – static or mobile, general or specialised (airport or event guarding)
- Electronic monitoring - using intruder detection systems, CCTV systems, access systems,
fire detection and suppression systems or related services
- Niche services - key holding and patrol services, management of security systems, data
destruction, cleaning and related services
- Customer Base
Relations with customers would be good without excessive vulnerability to any particular relationship.
Ideally, the company’s customers would be large companies, companies responsible for shopping centres,
and similar high value sites. Strong and sustainable relationships with customers would be important.
- Financial Parameters
The business will have sales of around £2m to £20m with sustainable profitability. The current profitability
and asset value of the company would be less important than the potential of the business to benefit from
being part of a larger group.
- Management
It is appreciated that the owner would wish to leave the business after a transitional period, but it
would be important that some operational management would stay and help grow the business over the long
term.
- Location
The business would be anywhere in England.
- Consideration
Our client has the resources and financial support available for acquisitions. The structure of the
transaction and the form of payment can be flexible to suit the timing and taxation needs of the parties.
