Research for Management Buy In Opportunities
We can assist senior executives who are seeking to buy a company for themselves (that is, a Management
Buy In). For a MBI to be successful, it is obviously very important for the largest possible number of
opportunities to be uncovered in a relatively short time. This initial research is a specialist activity;
requiring proprietary research tools, focused effort and above all, knowledgeable and experienced
researchers.
Our Research Department can provide this research – on a standalone basis- at a fixed and reasonable
cost. Bridge allows direct access to its research staff so that they can be fully briefed on the criteria
and the client is able to adjust the research as the project progresses and feedback obtained. All the
information given to Bridge for the purposes of the research, and the results of the research, is covered
by a confidentiality agreement.
Costs
Bridge gives a firm quotation on each project, with the fee paid one third upfront, one third on
initial report and the balance on completion. Typically, the cost of a research report ranges from £1000
to £5000.
The Way Forward
Once the research has been completed, the client can proceed to the next stage of his project. It
may be appropriate to use Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions (negotiating Bridge’s level of involvement and
fee structure) or any other firm or method the client chooses. In some cases it would be appropriate
to arrange some level of corporate finance support, and in others the client may wish to act alone or
solely with his existing team.
